Roundel Kitchens was founded over 50 years ago with a simple mission—to create beautifully crafted kitchens that blend timeless style with functionality. From our roots as a small British manufacturer, we have expanded to become a leading supplier to the UK’s top housebuilders, delivering kitchens that are both durable and innovative.


1969
Our first showroom opened, Kitchen Design Centre, Westoe Road, South Shields
1981
Roundel Manufacturing Limited established Harton Lane, South Shields
1983
Manufacturing commences from 20 Sedling Road, Washington
1985
Business extends beyond the North East to include Yorkshire region
1998
Purchase of the Nixons manufacturing & showroom facilities from Bellway PLC
2000
Expansion of the housebuilder business into Scotland
2001
State-of-the-art manufacturing plant purchased in Washington
2006
Heavy investments in personnel to allow the business to expand into the North West & Midlands
2007
Further factory expansion, warehouse built at Washington to deal with growing demand
2008
Now a national supplier with South East and South West penetrated
2014
Extension at Nixons to help with significant growth nationally and the supply of bespoke kitchen furniture

Further factory bay and loading extension at Washington to allow further growth

The purchase of 24/25 Sedling Road, Washington to further increase production capacity
